Cambridge Sound Management revolutionized the sound masking industry with the development of our direct field sound masking technology, QtPro. QtPro uniformly disperses a pre-tuned sound masking signal directly into the workspace. The result is a consistent and comfortable ambient sound throughout the space. The standard QtPro system consists of three simple components: emitters (i.e. loudspeakers), a control module that powers and sends the audio signal to the emitters, and standard category cables that connect the emitters to the control modules. Keeping QtPro simple helps our integration partners install our products quickly, efficiently, and effectively – often with no disruption to your business day. And the system is designed to grow and change with your business – new zones and emitters can often be added to the existing control modules.

Sound masking is precisely tuned to the frequency of human speech, so it can effectively mask human speech. Often misunderstood as white noise, sound masking is at a more comfortable frequency range. Each QtPro® sound masking system comes pre-tuned with our masking spectrum, specifically calibrated to efficiently mask human speech, by matching the frequencies most commonly associated with the human voice.

The Qt® Active Emitter is a single-source sound masking speaker capable of simultaneously playing sound masking, paging, and music signals. The Qt Active Emitter provides higher SPL (louder) and a broader frequency range (lower frequencies) than the Qt Standard Edition in a powerful and small speaker that seamlessly and discretely is deployed in finished or open structure ceilings.
